When Kondace first reached out to me, she had a clear vision for her wedding photos—she wanted a documentary style that captured the day’s emotions and details, but with a unique twist. She had her heart set on featuring epic stairs in her photos, adding a sense of grandeur and elegance to the moments we would capture together.

Living in Atlanta, Georgia, a city known for its rich history and architecture, I thought finding the perfect stairs would be easy. But as we scouted locations, I quickly realized that finding stairs that matched her description was more challenging than expected. We looked at several venues, but nothing felt quite right. We eventually settled on a location that was decent, but I wasn’t fully satisfied. I wanted to ensure her vision was realized in the most authentic and stunning way possible.

The morning of our photoshoot, something didn’t sit well with me. I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something better out there, so I did a bit more research. I turned to Google Street View, scanning different parts of the city, hoping to find something that would stand out. And then, as if by fate, I found them—the perfect set of stairs, hidden away in a beautiful part of Atlanta that we hadn’t considered before.

I immediately contacted Kondace and proposed a change in our meet-up location. Thankfully, she trusted me enough to go with the last-minute adjustment, and I’m so glad she did. When we arrived at the new location, I knew instantly that it was the right choice. The stairs were everything she had imagined—majestic, photogenic, and perfectly suited to her vision.

As we moved through the photoshoot, everything fell into place. The documentary style she wanted came to life as we captured candid moments of joy, love, and connection, all framed by those stunning stairs. The photos turned out exactly how she had envisioned them, and seeing her reaction made all the extra effort worth it.

This experience reinforced something I’ve always believed: never settle. As a photographer, my job is to bring my clients’ visions to life, and sometimes that means going the extra mile—or in this case, taking a few extra clicks through Google Street View. I’m so grateful Kondace trusted me with her vision and was willing to adapt on the fly. It’s that trust and collaboration that makes every photoshoot special.

In the end, the photos were a perfect reflection of Kondace’s vision, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. If there’s one lesson to take away from this story, it’s that sometimes you have to trust your instincts and keep searching until you find exactly what you’re looking for. Don’t settle—your perfect shot is out there, waiting to be discovered.
