Favorite Drink: Coffee!
Hot or iced, my go to choice is a cuban coffee called café con leche. When I moved to Baltimore I tried to order it at a coffee shop and they looked at me like I had two heads, I didn't realize that this amazing coffee wasn't available everywhere!
Favorite Vacation: I had the amazing opportunity to ride a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stay in a cabin at Phantom Ranch. It is my goal to stay at all the national park cabins/camp sites that you can't drive to. Next on the list is beach camping at Dry Tortugas!
Favorite Food: Pizza or Tacos, both are so versatile! My favorite pizza toppings are sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and arugula, but I've never met a pizza I didn't like. My favorite taco is the ever popular birria tacos, but don't eat one of these while wearing your favorite shirt!
I am officially a master of photography
In 2019 I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a MFA in Photographic and Electronic Media
I have always been interested in the intersection of photography and art. To me, photography is a type of storytelling, and weather you are looking for headshots, event coverage, or something more experimental, I would love to collaborate and bring your story to life
Don't like getting your picture taken? I feel the same way!
I began my photography journey taking self portraits because I had no idea what I was doing and I was too timid to ask other people to model for me. I was always embarrassed to share my work because it felt vain. That was 15 years ago now! It's crazy to think about how long I have been taking pictures. I have come a long way since that timid photographer who didn't know what to do with her hands.
I know what it is like to feel awkward in front of the camera, it is my goal as a photographer to guide you through every step. I no longer have a problem walking up to strangers asking them if I can take their photo, and I love to help others feel great about their image. I am a big fan of movement, capturing little moments moments, and I may even ask you to do something awkward along the way, but it always leads to genuine laughter which is the goal. Don't worry, I got you!
I hope to be your next favorite photographer!
I'm originally from sunny South Florida, but now reside in the charming town of Decatur, Ga (just outside of Atlanta). I have been photographing events and weddings since 2012 and I look forward to many more years as a photographer. I think it is so incredibly awesome that I get to capture the memories of one of the most important days of people's lives! My favorite part of weddings is the reception (and dessert). While working events you can find me singing and dancing along to the music, and it is not uncommon for guests to come up to me and say "you must love what you do". It's true! Big or small, weddings and events are a joyous occasion, and I would be honored to capture your joy on your special day!
With a background in fine art photography, I capture creative and artistic photos that will not only live online, but be printed out for your walls or in a beautiful photo album that will last a lifetime. I photograph weddings both digitally and on film, and I strive to capture a timeless photography look that will never look dated. My couples often tell me that I make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and thats my goal. I am not shy and will happy tell you what to do, so you don't have to worry about what to do with your hands.
I love photographing love, and not just of the couple getting married. Guests, family, friends, pets... I love it all! It is important to me to capture as many guests portraits, and candid moments as I can at your special day because they were invited for a reason. Sure your wedding is all about you, but it is also about sharing your day with friends and family.
